The MCX Programmable Controllers series is a family of programmable controllers developed for use in HVAC/R and general industrial automation, offering a range of sizes and I/O configurations.
Smaller versions, typically in a 4-DIN format, combine roughly 4 analog inputs, 8 digital inputs, 3 analog outputs, and 6 digital outputs. These models operate on 20–60 V DC or 24 V AC and include communication through CANbus and opto-isolated Modbus RS-485. A real-time clock is standard, enabling weekly scheduling and logging functions. Mid-sized controllers, such as units in the MCX06 series, are designed in a compact 32×74 mm form factor. They generally provide 4 analog inputs, 6 digital inputs, 2 analog outputs, and 6 digital outputs. The same core communication options—CANbus and Modbus RS-485—are present, along with features like LED displays, onboard buzzers, and RTC modules. Power supply requirements remain in the 20–60 V DC or 24 V AC range. At the top end, models such as MCX15B2 and MCX20B2 deliver substantially higher I/O counts. Both support 24–230 V AC supplies and add USB ports for program uploads and data transfer
