The AHF Advanced Harmonic Filters series is a passive filter range developed to reduce harmonic distortion generated by variable frequency drives and other six-pulse load configurations on the power network.
The series is offered in two main performance levels, with AHF 005 designed for a lower total harmonic distortion target and AHF 010 intended for applications that require tighter harmonic reduction. These filters are built to work with Danfoss drives as well as other drive brands, and they are intended to support compliance with commonly referenced power-quality expectations in industrial installations. The product line is designed so filtering performance is maintained even in part-load conditions, which is important in applications where drive demand changes over time. Danfoss positions the series as a compact harmonic-mitigation solution for retrofit and new installations where improved grid quality, lower transformer and cable stress, and reduced risk of disturbance to other connected equipment are priorities.
