The Low Voltage VACON X Drives from VACON comprise a range of AC drives designed for industrial applications that require durable operation in harsh indoor or outdoor environments.
The series includes VACON X4 and X5 models with enclosure ratings up to UL Type 4X / IP66 through 100 HP and UL Type 3R / IP55 in higher power frames, allowing the drives to be mounted close to the machine instead of inside a separate enclosure. These drives support both V/Hz and sensorless vector control, with programmable carrier frequency, adjustable speed ramps, built-in braking functions, and overload capability rated at either 120% or 150% of current for 60 seconds depending on duty class. For control and integration, the platform includes built-in Modbus RTU communication, dedicated and programmable I/O, PLC-like sequencer functions, and optional network expansion on X5 units for protocols such as DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, PROFIBUS, and Modbus TCP. Additionally, the series is offered across multiple low-voltage input classes, including 115 VAC single-phase, 200–230 VAC single- and three-phase, 380–460 VAC three-phase, and 575 VAC three-phase, with power coverage extending up to 200 HP depending on the model and supply voltage.
