The Danfoss VLT FC 51 Micro Drives series is a family of compact variable frequency drives designed for cost-sensitive industrial motor control applications that still require dependable performance and flexible commissioning.
The series is built around a small book-style form factor with guided setup and PC-based parameterization support, allowing it to be integrated into both simple and comparatively demanding drive tasks. Available supply classes include single-phase 200-240 V and three-phase 200-240 V and 380-480 V versions, with power coverage extending from 0.18 kW up to 22 kW depending on the input class. The platform incorporates coated circuit boards, built-in RFI filtering, and an effective heat-sink design, supporting reliable operation in harsher environments while limiting radio disturbance from motor cables. The FC 51 series is also suited for installations where panel space, installation cost, side-by-side mounting, braking capability, and reduced commissioning effort are important design considerations.
