The VLT FC 360 Automation Drives series is a general-purpose industrial AC drive platform designed for precise motor control across a wide range of machine applications.
The series supports both open-loop and closed-loop control functions, including speed control, process PID control, positioning, torque control, and permanent magnet motor operation with Automatic Motor Adaptation and encoder or resolver feedback options. Its design emphasizes integration and reduced panel complexity through built-in features such as RS485 communication, Smart Logic Control, integrated EMC filtering, a built-in brake chopper on applicable frame sizes, and configurable digital, analog, relay, and pulse I/O. The platform is also built for industrial operating conditions, with coated circuit boards, IP20 enclosure construction, compact side-by-side mounting, and operation in ambient temperatures up to 45 to 50°C at full load with higher-temperature derating. Across the series, the FC 360 is positioned as a compact automation drive for applications such as conveyors, pumps, fans, mixers, hoists, extruders, textile machinery, and other industrial systems that require reliable variable-speed motor control.
