The Danfoss VLT FC 103 Refrigeration Drives series is a family of variable frequency drives developed specifically for refrigeration applications, with integrated process-control functions and a commissioning environment tailored to refrigeration systems.
The series uses continuous variable-speed control to match compressor or system capacity to actual load, which improves overall system stability and supports better coefficient of performance across changing operating conditions. Available supply classes span 3 x 200-240 V, 3 x 380-480 V, 3 x 525-600 V, and 3 x 525-690 V, with power coverage extending from 1.1 kW up to 800 kW depending on voltage range. The drives include built-in EMC compliance measures such as an integrated scalable RFI filter and integral DC-link chokes, which reduce electromagnetic interference and harmonic distortion while also helping reduce cabinet space and installation cost. The FC 103 platform is also designed for demanding refrigeration environments through coated electronics, operation up to 50°C ambient without derating, and a setup wizard that uses refrigeration terminology to simplify installation and commissioning.
