The Bosch Rexroth SG Synchronous Servo Motors series is a family of brushless permanent-magnet servo motors designed for inverter operation within the Servodyn-G(C)16 system.
The motors use rare-earth rotor magnets, an integrated resolver for speed and rotor position detection, and an NTC thermistor in the stator winding, which supports closed-loop servo operation and thermal monitoring. The series is built for high dynamic response through low rotor inertia, while its sinusoidal motor EMF, direct heat dissipation, and brushless construction support smooth running, high load capacity, and low maintenance requirements. Across the range, the motors use enclosed IP65 housings, insulation class F, permanently lubricated prestressed bearings, and optional features such as keyed shafts, holding brakes, flange-accuracy variants, and special shaft sealing arrangements. The SG series serves as the motor platform in Servodyn-G installations where compact dimensions, robust feedback hardware, and configurable servo motor options are needed for demanding industrial motion applications.
