The SG-B2.027.049-10.010 is a brushless servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the SG Synchronous Servo Motors series. The metal stator housing allows direct frame grounding, while thermal radiation combined with natural convection removes heat without fans. A resolver mounted on the rotor supplies position feedback, and the motor can be installed in the IM B5 orientation with optional IM V1 or IM V3 mounting. This configuration provides automated machinery with precise closed-loop axis control for packaging, pick-and-place, or auxiliary spindle applications.

The rated standstill torque is 2.6 Nm, so the axis can hold or accelerate modest loads without gearbox multiplication. Under standstill conditions, the windings draw a current of 6.8 A; the drive amplifier must therefore supply this continuous phase current to maintain the rated torque. At the rated voltage, the rotor reaches a nominal speed of 4800 rpm, making the unit suitable for high-throughput positioning cycles. The electrical insulation meets the Class F temperature limit, allowing winding temperatures up to 155 °C when the ambient temperature remains within the range of 0 to 40 °C. Samarium-cobalt magnets identified as SmCo deliver stable magnetic flux at elevated temperatures, supporting consistent torque across operating cycles. A smooth shaft measuring 19 mm × 40 mm couples with clamp or collet hubs. The motor does not include a holding brake, so static loads must be secured by external means when power is removed. Cooling relies solely on thermal radiation and natural convection, so surface airflow must remain unobstructed when the motor is installed in an enclosed cabinet.
