Product Description:
The 134F2977 variable frequency drive is built by Danfoss for the VLT FC 360 Automation Drives series. Positioned within the VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, it converts fixed three-phase mains power into a regulated output that controls induction motor speed in automated conveyors, pump skids, and general process equipment. The unit connects control logic with mechanical motion, allowing motor torque to be adjusted according to real-time load requirements. This capability can reduce unnecessary energy use during repetitive industrial cycles while supporting stable speed regulation under changing operating conditions.
It operates from a three-phase supply of 380–480 VAC and delivers a continuous electrical output of 4.0 kW, which corresponds to 5.5 HP. Its high-overload rating allows the inverter to withstand short-term current surges without immediate thermal cutback, which is useful when starting centrifuges or accelerating heavily loaded conveyors. The housing has an IP20 chassis rating, so the drive is intended for installation inside a suitable filtered enclosure that limits contact with internal components. A standard control card provides the required input, output, and communication interfaces for integration with the machine control system. Adaptation A provides standard cable entries for power and control wiring, helping keep the conductors organized within the enclosure.
Electromagnetic compatibility is supported by an integrated RFI Class A2 filter that suppresses conducted electrical noise before it reaches the utility supply. When several inverters share a common DC bus, the built-in load-sharing function balances energy flow among connected modules and can reduce heat produced by braking or motoring axes. A dedicated brake chopper dissipates regenerative energy during deceleration, helping prevent excessive DC-link voltage. The coated circuit boards resist moisture and airborne contaminants that may enter industrial control cabinets. The inverter is supplied without a local display or blind cover, so parameter access is available through a compatible remote keypad or PC connection. This arrangement allows the keypad to be mounted where controls are easier to reach while the drive remains protected inside the enclosure.
