Product Description:
The 134F2973 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 360 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase input power into a modulated output for regulating the speed and torque of compatible induction motors. This functionality supports controlled acceleration, deceleration, and continuous operation in conveyors, pumps, and material-handling equipment. Adjustable motor control also allows the connected machinery to respond to changing process demands without relying on mechanical speed-control devices.
The model accepts a 380–480 VAC three-phase supply and provides a continuous mechanical output of 1.5 HP, corresponding to an electrical power rating of 1.1 kW. Its IP20 chassis protection prevents accidental contact with hazardous internal parts while allowing ventilation through a suitable control panel. The drive supports high-overload duty, permitting additional current during short acceleration, deceleration, or braking periods. Standard cable entries provide access for incoming power, motor, and control wiring without requiring special conduit plates. Command and reference signals are processed by a standard control card, and the included standard language pack supports the available operating menus. Because the unit has no integrated display, its parameters are accessed through remote configuration tools or a compatible detachable keypad.
The mains section supports load sharing, allowing compatible inverters to exchange DC-bus energy during regenerative operation. An integrated brake chopper controls the transfer of stopping energy to a suitable external braking resistor when rapid deceleration is required. The circuit boards have a coated printed circuit board finish that helps protect conductive traces from humidity and airborne contaminants inside machinery enclosures. A built-in RFI Class A2 filter limits conducted electromagnetic emissions for use on industrial power networks. The chassis arrangement is intended for installation within a ventilated cabinet that provides the required clearances around the cooling passages. Standard cable access and the conventional control interface simplify routing between the drive, motor, supply terminals, and external automation controls.
