The 134F3009 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 360 Automation Drives series. As a component of an AC motor control system, it converts fixed-frequency mains power into a modulated output, allowing industrial controllers to vary pump or conveyor speed without mechanical throttling. Within the wider VLT AutomationDrive FC product group, this model supplies regulated power to three-phase induction motors in automated machinery. Its variable output supports controlled acceleration, deceleration, and steady operation across the motor’s permitted speed range.
This drive operates from a nominal input of 380–480 V AC three-phase power and can deliver a continuous shaft output of 0.55 kW. The power section is categorized as high overload, meaning it tolerates short bursts of elevated current during heavy starts or rapid acceleration. A chassis-style enclosure with an IP20 chassis protection level permits installation inside a ventilated control panel while helping prevent accidental contact with live parts. Standard cable entries are provided under Adaptation A for routing power and control wiring into the housing. Adaptation B and the B option are not installed, leaving the corresponding spaces free of additional mechanical accessories.
Electromagnetic interference is reduced by an integrated RFI Class A2 filter. Communication with higher-level controllers is provided through a control card with PROFINET, allowing the drive to exchange commands, operating data, and status information over an industrial Ethernet network. Reliable operation in dusty or humid production areas is supported by a coated PCB that resists moisture and airborne contaminants. During dynamic deceleration, an internal brake chopper directs regenerated energy to a suitable braking resistor rather than returning it to the mains supply. A load-sharing mains option allows multiple FC 360 drives to exchange DC-link energy when connected in a compatible arrangement. The unit is supplied without a display and uses the standard language pack for its available interface functions.
