The 134F2979 is a frequency converter produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 360 Automation Drives series. As a three-phase AC drive, it converts a fixed mains frequency into variable-voltage and variable-frequency outputs. This operation allows plant controllers to adjust motor speed in conveyors, pumps, and fan modules without using mechanical throttling. The converter supports accurate process control while reducing unnecessary energy consumption when connected equipment does not need to operate continuously at full speed.
It delivers a continuous mechanical output of 10 HP, corresponding to an electrical rating of 7.5 kW, so motors of this size can run at full load without derating. The drive accepts a 380–480 VAC three-phase supply and incorporates an internal brake chopper that manages regenerative energy during rapid deceleration. Component access is limited to the front because the enclosure has an IP20 chassis rating. This enclosure protects against contact with internal components and the entry of solid objects larger than 12 mm, but it requires installation inside a suitable cabinet. A standard control card processes speed reference signals and digital input and output signals for connection to external automation equipment.
