Product Description:

Danfoss MCA101 is a fieldbus communication option module allowing the Danfoss drives to be connected further, with supporting PROFIBUS DP V1 communication.

It can be easily incorporated into PROFIBUS networks and is an excellent complement to industrial automation systems where rapid and reliable communication between drives and controllers is needed. The module is compatible with Class 1 and Class 2 master tools, and it is widely compatible with various configurations. As far as its transmission capabilities are concerned, the MCA101 has a wide range, with a minimum transmission rate of 9.6 kBaud and a maximum of 12 MBaud. The maximum bus length depends on the baud rate: at 12MBaud, 200 meters, at 1.5MBaud, 400 meters, and at 500 kBaud. To provide even more flexibility, there is a maximum drop cable length of 30 meters at 500 kBaud and a maximum of 4 bus segments in the case of repeaters. This allows it to be very flexible to various enclosure plans and communication needs.

The module can support a maximum of 32 active nodes in a segment, and it can support a larger automation system. Signals are connected at terminals 62 (RxD/TxD P) and 63 (RxD/TxD N), and a termination supply voltage of 5 V DC is connected at terminals 66/67. The system can be bound with twisted pair cabling, and has a maximum combination cross-section of 0.34 mm² (AWG 22). Its maximum damping is 9 dB, so it is strong with data transmission, even in the electrically noisy conditions, preserving reliability and performance under the challenging environment. It can be purchased at Wake Industrial with a one-year warranty.
