Product Description:
The communication module 130B1202 is built by Danfoss with the product code MCA 104. It provides Device-Net connectivity for FC 102, FC 202 and FC 301/302 drives. This module is based on CAN protocol with a data frame of 8 bytes, it uses CSMA CA for bus access and collision avoidance that supports baud rates of 125 kbps, 250 kbps and 500 kbps.
The 130B1202 module’s cable length depends on baud rate with 500 kbps allowing 100 m, at 250 kbps the maximum cable length is 250 m and at 125 kbps it is 500 m. Its bus supports up to 63 nodes including the master, each node is identified with a MAC ID from 0 to 63. The unit’s default MAC ID is 63 and can be reconfigured. Its address setting is possible through DIP switches or parameter 10 02 as well as through Device-Net class 0x03 attribute 1. This 130B module requires proper termination with 121 Ohm resistors at both ends and its power for the bus is 24 VDC. Its typical current consumption for Device-Net nodes is within 40 mA and its communication uses shielded twisted pair cable with 5 pin Device-Net connector. This MCA 104 module supports cyclic polling and change of state messaging. It also supports explicit messaging for acyclic parameter access and its I/O data uses assembly instances with 2 or 4 words, while its control words and status words are 16-bit signed values.
The 130B1202 module features 16-bit signed integers for transmittance speed references. Its additional process data channels PCD3 and PCD4 can be configured as well. The unit’s leakage current is greater than 3.50 mA that requires protective earth connection and it is designed for installation in slot A of VLT drives. Its status is displayed with dedicated MS and NS LEDs.
