The MCB101 I/O module refers to the code given as 130B1220 and is a creation of the Danfoss company. It is used to connect machines with controllers by letting them send signals in and out for monitoring and controlling industrial automation processes.
The MCB101 I/O module provides three digital inputs that operate within a range of 0–24 V DC. In PNP configuration, the input reference is zero volts with a low state below five volts and a high state recognized above ten volts. The digital input impedance is approximately five kilo-ohms which aids in signal stability in industrial control environments. Maximum load capability is ±28 volts for continuous operation with a short duration tolerance up to ±37 volts for ten seconds. It is also equipped with two analog voltage inputs. These operate with a standardized signal of 0–10 V DC. Resolution for the analog inputs is ten bits which supports accurate voltage monitoring and feedback for process applications. The analog inputs can withstand a continuous voltage load up to ±20 V. The module provides two digital outputs that supply either zero or twenty-four volts DC.
The MCB101 I/O module’s output tolerance is ±4 V with minimum load requirement of six hundred ohms. This makes the outputs suitable for interfacing with external actuators and relays within automation systems.
