Product Description:
The FC-051P1K5T4E20H3B is a compact AC micro drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT Micro Drive product group. As a frequency converter, it regulates the voltage and frequency supplied to small and medium-sized three-phase induction motors, allowing motor speed to follow changing process demands without mechanical throttling. Its compact size makes it suitable for conveyors, fan arrays, dosing pumps, and other applications that require installation inside standard control panels with limited space.
This drive supplies up to 1.5 kW of continuous electrical output to the connected motor under rated operating conditions. It accepts a mains input of 380 to 480 VAC, allowing direct connection to common industrial power systems without a transformer. The drive uses a three-phase input, which balances line currents and supports stable motor operation. Its IP20 chassis protection helps prevent accidental contact with live components, but the unit must be installed inside a clean enclosure that protects it from dust and moisture. An integrated electromagnetic suppression network meets RFI Class A1/B limits, reducing conducted emissions that could interfere with nearby control electronics and communication equipment.
The motor output corresponds to 2.0 HP, providing an imperial power reference for selecting compatible pumps, fans, and conveyor motors. For rapid deceleration, the onboard brake chopper directs regenerated energy to an external braking resistor instead of allowing excessive voltage to build within the DC link. This function is useful when driven machinery has enough inertia to return substantial energy as the motor slows. The accessible chassis arrangement also supports orderly routing of mains, motor, control, and braking-resistor wiring within the panel while preserving the clearances required for ventilation and electrical safety.
