The Type S lineup supports both rotary and linear servo motors and is offered in multiple variants to match different feedback and control schemes, including standard encoder configurations, full-duplex communication encoders, and full closed-loop systems. Units are available for different input-voltage classes (such as 100 V and 200 V families) and can be ordered with or without built-in regenerative and dynamic-braking resistors depending on the model. Commissioning and diagnostics are handled through the front operator interface and Q-SETUP PC software, with parameter groups for motor setup, I/O behavior, control tuning, and monitor functions using analog and digital outputs. The series defines complete operating and protection behavior—including servo ON/OFF sequencing, braking and alarm responses, and maintenance considerations for wear components like cooling fans and electrolytic capacitors—to support reliable long-term service.
