Product Description:
The QS1L03AC servo amplifier is manufactured by Sanyo Denki for the Q SANMOTION Servo Amplifiers series. It conditions line power, modulates it through insulated-gate bipolar transistors, and supplies closed-loop current to a servomotor so that higher-level controllers can execute precise motion sequences in industrial automation. Its internal controls support speed, torque, and position modes, allowing the amplifier to adapt to different motion requirements without separate control stages. This capability makes it suitable for machinery that performs indexing, continuous rotation, and load-sensitive positioning during the same operating cycle.
This model is rated for a continuous output of 30 A, giving it the current capacity needed to accelerate medium-frame motors without current foldback. The power section is designed for the 200 V AC voltage class, while the control electronics accept a single-phase 200–230 V AC supply. Pulse-width modulation uses an IGBT PWM sinusoidal drive scheme that reduces harmonic content and limits motor heating. The velocity loop has frequency characteristics extending to 600 Hz, supporting rapid disturbance rejection in high-speed pick-and-place machines. Analog or digital references can be processed throughout the available operating range. Integrated logic switches between speed, torque, and position control to accommodate changing load and motion conditions. These operating modes also allow the connected controller to select the response needed for a specific machine cycle.
An internal 50 Ω regenerative resistor dissipates excess kinetic energy without requiring an external resistor assembly. It works with the built-in regeneration circuit and dynamic braking circuitry to keep the DC bus within safe limits during sudden deceleration. The speed control range reaches 1:5000, allowing the drive to maintain a slow indexing movement and then accelerate to high speed without retuning. Storage is permitted from -20 to +65 °C, allowing an unpowered unit to remain in a warehouse across a broad temperature range. The amplifier weighs 1.3 kg, which reduces the mounting load in compact control panels and on moving gantries. Its low mass also places less mechanical stress on panel supports when the surrounding machine is exposed to repeated acceleration and vibration.
