The QS1A01AA servo amplifier is produced by Sanyo Denki as part of the Q SANMOTION Servo Amplifiers series. Intended for industrial automation, the module converts incoming AC power and reference signals into a controlled three-phase output that drives a compatible permanent-magnet servo motor. This output supports precise motion in pick-and-place axes, indexing tables, feeders, and similar machinery. The device installs in a panel enclosure and exchanges data with motion controllers to regulate position, speed, and torque.
The power section accepts an input of 200/230 VAC (+10%/-15%) at a line frequency of 50/60 Hz (±3 Hz), allowing installation on common factory power systems without an isolating transformer. The amplifier supports single-phase or three-phase supplies, simplifying its use in machines with different power distribution arrangements. At full load, the amplifier delivers up to 15 A of sinusoidal current, providing headroom for acceleration events. Current generation is handled by an insulated-gate bipolar transistor bridge that uses IGBT PWM switching to produce a sinusoidal output waveform while limiting motor heating. The velocity regulator has a bandwidth of 600 Hz, allowing the drive to follow rapid setpoint changes from the motion controller.
Command signals can arrive as pulse-train or analog-voltage signals, allowing the amplifier to operate with stepper-type indexers or traditional ±10 V control loops. The amplifier includes two built-in notch filters that help suppress mechanical resonances and maintain stable operation when the motor is connected to flexible loads. An RS-232C port provides access for configuration and diagnostics, including adjustment of the eight programmable digital inputs and review of fault codes on the built-in five-digit display. Parameters can also be stored through this interface. The housing measures 45 mm wide, 130 mm deep, and 168 mm high, while its mass is 1.25 kg. These dimensions allow the amplifier to fit into high-density multi-axis panel layouts without occupying excessive enclosure space.
