The R6 COMBIVERT Line Regen Drives series is a KEB power supply and regenerative unit designed to convert three-phase line input into DC bus power for one or more connected frequency inverters while also returning excess energy from generating operation back to the supply system.
In shared DC bus applications, the series is used to improve DC bus voltage stability, support regenerative operation without a braking resistor or braking transistor, and allow parallel connection when higher supply capacity is required. The platform is built for industrial control-cabinet installation and includes overload capability along with protection against overcurrent, ground fault, and excessive temperature, while appropriately sized DC fuses protect the DC bus circuit against short circuit. The series is used with external components such as a commutation choke and, where required, EMC filtering, and it also supports accessory options including harmonic filters, synchronization units, DC fusing, and operator or bus interfaces. Overall, the series is intended for multi-drive systems that need efficient DC bus supply and line-side energy recovery while reducing heat dissipation and net energy consumption.
