The 25.R6.S3R-YB00 is a regenerative power module manufactured by KEB within the R6 Combivert Line Regen Drives series. The unit returns excess braking energy from a common DC bus back to the plant supply, reducing heat losses in braking resistors and lowering overall energy use in multi-axis automation cells. It is installed between the inverter group and the three-phase mains to manage bidirectional power flow. This operating role is especially useful on shared DC-bus systems where multiple axes can generate energy at the same time.
During normal operation, the module accepts a three-phase line supply of 400 V at 50/60 Hz and channels it into the DC link through an internal rectifier and chopper stage. In regeneration mode, it can feed up to 210 kW of active power to the grid, while programmed protection triggers an overload disconnection at 160 % of the continuous rating to protect semiconductors and cabling. The continuous regeneration current reaches 221 A, supporting a DC link suited for high-inertia loads. This helps keep the shared bus under control when several inverters decelerate at the same time, which reduces the chance of overvoltage trips during coordinated motion. Internal DC fusing removes the need for external series protection and keeps the power path more compact inside the cabinet.
