The 19.R6.N3E-R00A regenerative unit is manufactured by KEB for the R6 Combivert Line Regen Drives series. This line-regeneration drive links the DC bus of a conventional inverter to the utility grid, returning braking energy instead of dissipating it through resistors. The device integrates into multi-axis systems where controlled energy feedback improves efficiency and reduces heat inside the cabinet.
Electrical compatibility covers a three-phase grid operating at 50/60 Hz with a tolerance of ±2 Hz and a permitted input range of 180–528 V AC. Within this range, the converter delivers a rated active power of 42 kW, with the rating reduced to 23 kW at 230 V. Peak demand is supported by a maximum apparent power of 67.5 kVA, which is reduced to 39 kVA at 230 V. The converter is designed for three-phase operation. Its output bus operates between 180 and 680 V DC, allowing connection to compatible KEB variable-frequency drive DC links. Maximum active power reaches 63 kW, while the continuous inverter section supplies 45 kVA. Control is handled by the 1N.R6 NCM logic core, and the assembly uses Unit Size 19 with Housing Size E. A standard heat sink removes operating losses, and the applicable voltage class is three-phase 180–550 V AC.
Thermal and protective limits include a regenerative DC current of 80 A DC, a power loss of 470 W at nominal load, and a maximum heat-sink temperature of 88 °C. Line protection should use a UL 248 Class J fuse rated at 90 A. The AC side can draw 70 A continuously and return 65 A during regenerative operation. Precharging and DC fuses are available as options to reduce inrush current and isolate electrical faults. The unit does not contain integrated fans or liquid-cooling circuits, so cabinet placement should provide sufficient clearance for ambient air to pass over the cooling fins. Its moderate component depth supports installation where cabinet space and wiring lengths are limited.
