Product Description:
The 15.R6.N3E-R00A is a regenerative line drive produced by KEB within the R6 Combivert Line Regen Drives series. Installed alongside standard inverters, it routes surplus DC-bus energy back to the supply network instead of dissipating it through braking resistors, allowing multi-axis machines and test stands to improve energy efficiency and reduce panel heat. The drive uses the manufacturer’s 1N.R6 (NCM) control platform and comes in its default configuration. It is built in a size E housing with a standard heat sink for convection-assisted cooling.
The unit connects to a three-phase mains supply rated at 180–528 V AC, so the same hardware covers both 230 V and 480 V plant power without tap changes. Compatibility with networks operating at 50/60 Hz ±2 Hz makes the module suitable for equipment used in different regions. During continuous regeneration, it draws a line current of 26 A AC; this value can be used when selecting feeder conductors and verifying transformer capacity. Peak active power feedback reaches 25.5 kW, while the apparent power limit is 27 kVA. An internal precharge circuit limits inrush current when the DC bus is energized. Optional DC fuses can protect upstream components against fault currents.
The DC terminals operate within a range of 180–680 V DC, matching the voltage window of KEB inverter buses so energy can flow in either direction without additional converters. A regenerative channel rated for 32 A DC carries the returned current. Power loss is limited to 200 W at nominal load, and this heat passes into the cabinet through the aluminum heat sink. The heat sink must remain below 70 °C to support reliable semiconductor operation. Cabinet airflow and installation clearances should allow heat to move away from the drive without obstruction. A UL 248 Class J fuse rated for up to 50 A may be installed to meet North American branch-circuit protection requirements.
