Product Description:
The 19.R6.N3E-RP00 regenerative unit is manufactured by KEB for the R6 Combivert Line Regen Drives series. It connects a shared DC bus to the three-phase mains and returns braking energy to the grid, reducing the amount of energy dissipated as heat during deceleration. This function supports multi-axis inverter systems in automated machinery with frequent braking cycles. The device uses Control Type 1N.R6 (NCM), fits Housing Size E enclosures, and is supplied as Unit Size 19 for cabinet installation.
The regenerative rectifier accepts a three-phase input range of 180 to 528 V AC. It synchronizes with utility grids operating at 50/60 Hz with a tolerance of ±2 Hz and converts incoming power for a DC link adjustable from 180 to 680 V DC. Under nominal conditions, the unit returns 42 kW of rated active power, while operation on a 230 V network reduces the rating to 23 kW. The supply draws a continuous current of 70 A AC, and the bridge can return up to 65 A AC of regenerative current to the mains. An 80 A DC channel provides additional capacity for short braking events. The converter supplies 45 kVA to the common bus, or 26 kVA when connected to a 230 V supply, and includes factory-installed precharging circuitry and DC fuses.
At full regeneration, the active front end can reach a peak power of 63 kW, or 34.5 kW when operated from a 230 V supply. Its maximum apparent power is 67.5 kVA, allowing the unit to accommodate brief increases in regenerative demand. Cabinet protection requires a UL 248 Class J fuse rated at 90 A to protect the incoming power circuit. Internal power loss is limited to 470 W during nominal operation, and forced-air cooling removes the resulting heat from the enclosure. The heat sink must remain below 88 °C to keep the power electronics within their permitted thermal range during continuous operation.
