Product Description:
The 19.R6.S1E-YB01 is a regenerative drive unit manufactured by KEB and included in the R6 Combivert Line Regen Drives series. It is supplied in housing size E and carries mechanical unit size 19. The device connects to a common DC bus and returns surplus braking energy to the utility supply. This function allows controlled deceleration of connected inverters without requiring external braking resistors. In industrial automation cells, synchronized regeneration can reduce heat that would otherwise be released inside an enclosure.
The drive accepts a three-phase source over a 180 to 528 V AC range and synchronizes with a nominal grid frequency of 50/60 Hz with a ±2 Hz tolerance. Under rated conditions, it delivers 42 kW of active power and draws a continuous supply current of 70 A AC. Its regenerative rated current is 65 A AC, allowing energy to flow back to the line during braking. The output supports 45 kVA during continuous operation. Circuit protection requires a UL 248 Class J fuse rated at no more than 90 A.
During dynamic events, the drive can process 67.5 kVA and reach a momentary active power of 63 kW. These peak values are referenced to a nominal 400 V line and require the stated derating when the drive operates at 230 V. DC-bus regenerative current peaks at 80 A DC, while steady power losses are limited to 470 W and dissipated through the aluminum heat sink. Operation is permitted until the heat sink reaches a maximum temperature of 88 °C. An integrated pre-charging circuit controls inrush current to the internal capacitors, reducing electrical stress on upstream protective devices. Internal monitoring supervises operating conditions during repeated braking and restart cycles.
