Product Description:
The 19.R6.S1E-YB00 is a line-regeneration drive produced by KEB for the R6 Combivert Line Regen Drives series. In an automation cell, it connects across the common DC bus of multiple inverters and channels surplus braking energy back into the three-phase supply, reducing heat and the need for external braking resistors. The unit belongs to frame size E and mechanical size 19, so it shares mounting dimensions with other KEB power modules. Its precharge circuit limits inrush current when the DC link is first energized, protecting upstream fuses and bus capacitors.
The drive accepts a supply range of 180 to 528 V AC and synchronizes to a network frequency of 50 or 60 Hz with a tolerance of ±2 Hz, allowing installation on low- or high-voltage mains. Under nominal conditions, it returns 42 kW of active power while drawing a line current of 70 A AC. Regeneration occurs through all three phases, and the internal IGBT stage supports continuous feedback of 65 A AC to the grid. A UL 248 Class J fuse rated up to 90 A may be fitted on the input side to provide appropriate fault protection. The integral heat sink provides sufficient surface area for thermal dissipation, and power loss during rated operation is limited to 470 W, easing cabinet cooling requirements.
The converter’s DC link can conduct 80 A DC, and its inverter section supplies an output of 45 kVA. Momentary output peaks reach 67.5 kVA to absorb rapid deceleration events. When connected to a 230 V grid, the continuous and peak output limits decrease to 26 kVA and 39 kVA, respectively. Total active recovery reaches 63 kW, providing additional capacity above the rated active power for short bursts. Efficient operation is maintained while the heat sink remains below its maximum temperature of 88 °C, and thermal derating begins as the temperature approaches this threshold.
