The DKS01.1-W100A-DA03-00 digital drive from Bosch Rexroth is combined with the MDD digital AC servo motor to make a complete drive system. The servo drive is made up of basic units which are configured and customized for a specific application by inserting different cards in the provided card slots. This drive can be connected to a 230 V 3-phase power source or a source with a single-phase (1 x 230 V AC).  A full set up and configured DKS01.1-W100A-DA03-00 servo drive consists of the following: servo drive unit, command interface card, auxiliary plug-in card, software module, and a configuration label.

The servo drive basic unit is delivered with empty card slots for the plug-in cards. The required cards act as a connection between the control unit and the DKS01.1-W100A-DA03-00 drive. These cards are available in different command interface units such as SERCOS interface unit: DSS 1.1, DSS 1.3. Analog interface with an encoder emulator: DAE 1.1. Analog unit with absolute encoder emulator: DAA 1.1. Positioning card: DLC 1.1

The SERCOS interface DSS 1.1; DSS 1.3 cards enable the digital servo drive to function with compatible SERCOS interface controllers through optic fiber cables. It also provides various inputs for checking the positions of limit switches and sensors. The Analog interface with an encoder emulator DAE 1.1 allows the DKS01.1-W100A-DA03-00 digital drive to function with conventional controllers through an analog interface. Other features found on the analog interface emulator include signal outputs for direct communication with the controller and an incremental encoder signals output for determining the actual positioning value.
