The DKS servo drive unit is a part of intelligent servo drive series by Bosch Rexroth. These drive come with state-of-the-art features that function to provide a seamless operation and self-healing operation. These drives are produced with a broad power spectrum. The DKS1.1-W050A-D comes with a current rating of 50 Ampere and IP10 degree of protection. This means that the DKS1.1 intelligent servo drive is protected against objects greater than 50mm. The device is not protected against water or moisture condensation. Therefore, it is recommended to install it in a control cabinet or housing. The power cables should be routed separately from signal cables to avoid interference. At the connection point X4, option for motor feedback is available. The drive unit provides support for RS-232 communication protocol for which the port X2 is designated. The connection point X8 is dedicated for signal voltages for test and measurement. The DKS1.1 intelligent servo drive is designed to be used with MDD digital AC servo motor which comes with three wires for power connection and a wire for ground connection. The unit is suited for operation at a maximum altitude of 1000 meters above sea level. The permissible ambient temperature for smooth operation ranges from +5 to +55 degree Celsius. The model DKS1.1-W050A-D must be stored in a dry, dust and vibration-free location with temperature maintained in range of -30 and +85 degree Celsius. The servo drive includes plug-in card with specific configuration according to the type of operation. The drive unit can be powered by a single-phase or three-phase supply unit. This model is easy to service owing to the terminals used for signal cable connection. An alphanumeric display is used which allows user-guided troubleshooting.
