The Beckhoff KM Bus Terminals series is a high-density terminal module family designed to expand digital I/O capacity in a compact form while remaining fully compatible with Beckhoff Bus Couplers and Bus Terminal Controllers.
These modules connect through the internal E-bus or K-bus and use pluggable, spring-loaded connectors that support fixed wiring with single- or triple-conductor connection options. Depending on the model, the series can provide 16, 32, or 64 digital channels, allowing a higher concentration of signals in less panel space than conventional terminal layouts. The KM series is built for direct process-level signal transfer, and specific models include features such as electrical isolation, channel-status indication at the connector, and protection against overload and short circuit. This series is suited for automation systems that need compact terminal design, scalable channel counts, and practical field wiring for distributed digital signals.
