Product Description:
KM2008 is a bus terminal module. The module has eight connectors and with eight channels per connector for a total of 64 digital output channels. The KM2008 is used to transfer control signals to level actuators. This module is designed for easy installation into established systems. Special module features include support for multiple types of loads and spring connection technology. Single or three-pin connector versions are available and these can be ordered with or without status LEDs. Weight of the KM2008 module is 310 grams with single-pin connectors and 390 grams with three-pin connectors. The nominal output voltage is 24 Volts DC with -15%/+20% tolerance. Load types include lamp, inductive and resistive. Each output can deliver 0.5 Amps (maximum). Output channels on the module are short-circuit proof.
The output short-circuit current cannot exceed 2 Amps and the breaking energy is less than 150 millijoules per channel. Reverse voltage protection is available on the KM2008 module. The module provides 500 Volts of electrical isolation between K-bus and field potential. Current consumption for the K-sub is 5 milliamps (typically). Bit width for the bus terminal in the process image is 64 outputs. Ambient conditions specified by the manufacturer include 0 to 55 degrees Celsius for operation, -25 to 85 degrees Celsius for storage, and up to 95% relative humidity. Protection rating of the unit is IP20. It can be installed in multiple orientations. Dimensions of the unit are 123 x 100 x 55 millimeters. It installs on a DIN rail measuring 35 millimeters. This DIN rail must comply with EN 60715. Cross-section for cables used for module wiring is 0.08 to 1.5 mm2 and the stripping length is 8 millimeters.
