The Beckhoff Automation KM2004-0000 terminal module is made to make complicated automation jobs easier. The module can be used in situations where fine control over multiple output channels is needed, and it is designed to work with other systems without any problems. The module makes sure that operation and upkeep are reliable, with few extra parts needed.

The KM2004-0000 terminal module has 32 output channels that are split into 4 groups of 8. The terminal works with a nominal power of 24 V DC. Each channel can handle a maximum output current of 0.5 A and can't short-circuit because the short-circuit current stays below 2 A. The breaking energy of the product is less than 150 mJ per channel, and it protects against reverse voltage. The terminal can handle a lot of different types of loads, such as ohmic, magnetic, and lamp loads. The KM2004-0000 module uses 5 mA from the K-bus, with 500 V of electrical isolation between the K-bus and field potential. The terminal meets the standards for EMC protection and emissions set by EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4, that are needed for industrial automation.

Following the EN 60068-2-6 and EN 60068-2-27 standards, the module can withstand shaking and shock. It can also work in temperatures ranging from 0 to +55°C and be stored at temperatures ranging from -25°C to +85°C. The module is placed on a 35 mm rail in line with EN 60715 standards. It is made to be easy to connect using plug connection technology. The protection level is IP20, and the weight ranges from 90 to 110 g, based on the type of connector.
