The KM2004-0002 digital output terminal module is made by Beckhoff. The terminal works perfectly with the Beckhoff I/O system for a variety of industrial automation tasks. The KM2004-0002 output terminal module has 32 digital outputs spread out over four connectors. Each connection has eight channels. The terminal works with different kinds of loads, like resistive, magnetic, and lamp loads. The most current that can come out of each channel is 0.5 A, and they are made to protect against short circuits with a cutoff of less than 2 A. The terminal also has built-in reverse voltage safety to keep damage from happening when the wiring is done wrong. The module keeps an electrical gap of up to 500 V between the field potential and the K-bus to make sure that the system works safely and reliably. It can handle breaking energy of less than 150 mJ per channel, that means it can be used with a range of loads. The module uses very little power—only 5 mA on the K-bus—and doesn't need any additional power connections. The KM2004-0002 digital output terminal module can work in temperatures from 0°C to +55°C and be kept in temperatures from -25°C to +85°C. With a 1-pin connector, it weighs about 90 grams, and with a 3-pin connector, it weighs about 110 grams.
