The M.1015.7856 is a brushless servo motor produced by Kollmorgen for the FSM Brushless Servo Motors series. Designed for closed-loop motion tasks, this unit converts drive current into precise shaft torque and speed for automated lines, pick-and-place heads, and indexing tables in industrial machines. An integrated spring-applied, electrically released brake holds the shaft when power is removed, allowing the motor to secure loads in vertical or safety-critical axes.
At a brake supply of 24 V DC, the coil draws 0.69 A DC, so the brake circuit requires less than one ampere of steady current. Once energized, the brake can withstand 10.2 Nm of static load; residual play is limited to 44 arcminutes of backlash, indicating the maximum shaft rotation before lockup. The back-EMF constant is 66 V/kRPM, meaning every 1,000 rpm produces 66 volts of generated voltage, a key parameter for drive selection and regeneration calculations.
