The M.1015.7878 brushless servo motor is manufactured by Kollmorgen as part of the FSM Brushless Servo Motors series. A torque constant of 0.73 Nm/A links commanded phase current to produced torque, allowing the connected drive to regulate its current loop accurately.
The motor can deliver continuous shaft torque of 9.3 Nm while remaining within its thermal operating limits. For short acceleration bursts, it reaches a peak torque of 19.2 Nm, providing the capacity required to overcome brief inertial or friction loads. Its maximum mechanical speed is 3000 rpm, so transmission ratios must keep the reflected velocity below that limit. Electrical losses are influenced by a phase winding resistance of 0.98 ohm, which affects copper heat rise at a given RMS current and must be considered in thermal calculations.
