The FSM430 brushless servo motor is produced by Kollmorgen as part of the FSM Brushless Servo Motors series. In motion-control systems, this motor converts drive current into high-density shaft torque for positioning or velocity loops on pick-and-place gantries, indexing tables, and packaging axes. With Hall sensors or high-resolution feedback attached, the FSM430 serves as the rotational actuator while Kollmorgen drives supply the current and commutation commands.
During continuous operation, the motor supplies 3.5 Nm of shaft torque while the frame remains within its rated temperature range. A maximum operating speed of 4000 rpm allows direct coupling to gearheads or lead screws without exceeding mechanical limits. For short acceleration bursts, the electromagnetic structure withstands 11.3 Nm of peak torque, providing additional headroom during indexing. The back electromotive force rises at 66 V/kRPM, a value that supports drive-bus sizing and regeneration hardware selection.
