The M.1015.7868 is a brushless servo motor produced by Kollmorgen as part of the FSM Brushless Servo Motors series. Designed for closed-loop motion control, the motor integrates a permanent-magnet rotor, optical feedback, and a spring-applied brake to hold loads during shutdown. In automated assembly cells or packaging lines, it delivers repeatable speed and position so that controllers can coordinate linear slides, rotary actuators, or indexing tables without mechanical cams.
Its winding is rated for 230 V, and the motor reaches a maximum shaft speed of 4000 rpm, providing a usable velocity range for rapid traversal and slow positioning. The electromagnetic design yields a sine-wave torque constant of 0.54 Nm/A, so each ampere from the drive produces more than half a newton-meter of torque under sinusoidal commutation. With a rotor inertia of 0.0022 kg·m², the motor accelerates loads quickly while maintaining stability in high-gain servo loops.
