The VACONX4C40750C is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the Low Voltage VACON X Drives series. The module converts fixed line voltage into a variable output waveform, allowing precise control of induction motor speed and torque in industrial automation systems such as material conveyors, mixers, and centrifugal pumps. As a stand-alone, wall-mountable inverter, it integrates motor control, protection, and field wiring into a single sealed assembly.
The drive accepts three-phase supply power at a nominal frequency of 50/60 Hz with a tolerance of ±2 Hz. Two overload classes are selectable: the high-overload channel delivers up to 60 HP, 45 kW, and 77 A for heavy startup duty, while the low-overload setting supports continuous loads of 75 HP, 55 kW, and 96 A. The brake chopper circuitry is triggered when the DC bus reaches 776 VDC, dissipating regenerated energy during rapid deceleration. Forced air cools the internal components and exits through the top of the T4 frame. Sound pressure reaches 80 dBA at the rated load. The polycarbonate and aluminum enclosure carries an IP66 rating, protecting the electronics against dust and high-pressure water spray in washdown areas.
