PM Drivers

The SANMOTION PM Drivers series is a group of stepping motor drivers. These drivers try to work in the middle between open loop stepping and AC servo systems. These drivers can use AC (100/115V single-phase and 200/230V single/three-phase) and DC (24/36V) power. It can be controlled by pulse-chain input and RS-485/parallel I/O. It can position up to 3200 P/R because of electronic gear functions. The drivers use sine wave pulse width modulation (PWM) control and something called proportional-integral current regulation, in order to only supply needed current based on the load, which cools down motor. The motor heat is reduced by about 80% compared to normal systems. There are some tech updates. For example, enhanced PWM control takes away stepdown circuits and keeps high torque at faster speeds, and there's command synchronization through feed-forward. The series can rotate up to 4500 min⁻¹ with smaller motors and 4000 min⁻¹ with bigger motors. Holding brake control and regeneration control are inside. These include motor overheat protection, amplifier overheat protection, power supply voltage watch, and sensor problem detection. It can use motors from 42mm to 86mm. Each driver can be used with many motor sizes, which gives holding torques from 0.39 N•m to 7.44 N•m. The series can be mounted in different ways and includes S-shape acceleration/deceleration control.
