Product Description:

The model PMM-MD53030-10 is a 5 Phase Stepping Motor Driver. It supports fine resolution step angle control and multiple operation modes. This model is designed for precision and flexibility. It includes input signal adaptability and external control options. It operates on 24 V or 36 V DC power input.

The Sanyo Denki PMM-MD53030-10 stepping motor driver supports sixteen step angle resolutions ranging from 1 to 250 division that are adjustable through a rotary switch. It allows for 2 type micro step settings via external input signals. A dipswitch lets users select between "pulse and direction mode" or "2 input mode." Its input signal system uses a photocoupler with 330 Ω resistance. Signal voltage for logic high ranges from 4.0 to 5.5 V while low ranges from 0 to 0.5 V. The power down function of this model allows motor power to be disabled by an external input. The unit supports a phase origin monitor output using a photocoupler open collector with a maximum of 30 V and output current up to 5 mA. The unit is equipped with selection functions including automatic current reduction, pulse system selection and power source configuration.

The power source requirements for the PMM-MD53030-10 stepping motor driver are DC 24 V or 36 V with ± 10 % tolerance. The driver withstands AC 500 V between the power input terminal and cabinet for one minute without malfunction. Insulation resistance is a minimum of 10 MΩ under DC 500 V Megger conditions. The total unit mass is 0.31 kg (0.68 lbs). It includes external control options for step angle setting and motor power down. This PM series driver is designed to deliver stable adjustable performance for stepping motor operations.
