Designed for two-phase permanent-magnet motors, the unit translates pulse-train commands from a controller into phase currents that move a load in discrete increments. It is installed in industrial automation systems that require precise positioning, such as semiconductor stages, inspection tables, and pick-and-place heads. The module uses a high-speed two-phase bipolar control scheme that energizes each motor phase symmetrically to reduce vibration. The calibrated 0.09° per pulse step angle allows 4,000 pulses to rotate the motor shaft through one full revolution. The power section operates from an AC 100/115 V, +10%/-15%, 50/60 Hz supply and withstands inrush through a 330 Ω input resistance.
