The PMM-BD-4504-4 Driver protection class is classified as class I which means it must be grounded, which makes it protected from electric shock by routing fault currents safely to earth ground via a protective conductor. It is guaranteed to perform accurately in environments located at elevations no higher than one kilometer. The driver is built with safeguards that shut it down or reduce activity if the driver component becomes too hot. It allows customization for various parameters such as configurable features for current scaling, energizations method, input signal handling, rotation resolution and active current level.
