The VLM32J-BLNH-00 is a brushless servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen as part of the VLM Brushless Motors series. It converts regulated current from a drive into controlled torque for positioning or rotating mechanical loads. This motion supports automated packaging machines, material-handling systems, and light machining equipment where repeatable movement is required. Its compact format also allows the motor to serve motion axes with limited installation space.
The absence of a mechanical holding device reduces mass and inertia. The motor is supplied with no brake, making it suitable for systems where the drive or external mechanics maintain position. Power and feedback conductors exit through a 1-meter cable, which provides flexible routing between the motor and control cabinet. The conductors are supplied as an unterminated, shielded cable, allowing the appropriate connector to be installed for the application while helping protect signals against electrical interference. Rotor position sensing relies on Hall-only feedback, providing six-step commutation information for compatible drives while supporting closed-loop velocity control. The laminated steel core is housed in a NEMA 34 frame, which has a 90 mm square mounting face suitable for connection to many gearboxes and linear actuators.

Electrical performance is based on winding code J, which indicates the stator wire gauge and number of turns. These winding characteristics determine the current, voltage, and base speed values that a compatible drive must provide. Correct drive matching helps maintain stable torque production and prevents the motor from operating outside its intended electrical range.
