The RZK Heat Exchangers are external cooling units for Bosch Rexroth RD500 systems and are used when the converter is configured with cooling type R, which has no internal heat exchanger.
The series includes versions for outside-cabinet mounting and wall mounting, with mechanical drawings and spacing requirements for cooling air intake and hot-air discharge. Variants are matched to RD500 power classes 132, 160, 200, 315, and 400 kW, with cooling capacities shown as 4 kW, 5 kW, 2 × 4 kW, and 2 × 5 kW depending on model size. The units are rated IP20 and can be configured with or without an integrated brake resistor, with braking-resistor data provided for resistance, nominal power, peak power for 0.1 s, and thermal time constant. The series also supports connecting multiple frequency converters to one heat exchanger as long as the total converter losses do not exceed the exchanger’s available cooling power.
