The RZK01.1-400-NN air-to-air assembly is a heat exchanger module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It is used as an auxiliary component for drive cabinets, where it transfers dissipated heat to the surrounding air so that frequency converters, servo drives, and other power electronics can remain within their allowed operating temperature range. By routing cabinet air through external channels, the unit helps stabilize internal cabinet conditions without bringing outside dust or conductive particles directly into the enclosure.

The unit is assigned to the 400 kW power class, which indicates the cabinet system size it is intended to support. Its cooling circuit uses 2 heat exchangers, allowing parallel airflow paths that help reduce restriction and operating noise. The assembly is rated at 2 x 5 kW of active cooling power, which provides a total continuous cooling capacity of 10 kW for heat generated by rectifier and inverter switching losses. An IP20 protection class helps prevent accidental contact with live parts while still allowing the airflow needed through the cooling fins. Because it uses outside cabinet mounting, heat is discharged to the air outside the enclosure, which helps the cabinet remain sealed against oil mist and conductive debris.

Mechanical installation requires a minimum clearance of 200 mm above the top grille so the exhaust air can leave the unit without immediate recirculation. The housing mass is 2 x 23 kg, which keeps the individual sections manageable during installation and reduces mechanical loading on cabinet panels. The module is supplied without an integrated brake resistor, so regenerative energy must be handled by a separate resistor bank or by a system that returns energy to the grid. This arrangement keeps the heat exchanger focused on cabinet cooling rather than dynamic braking functions.
