The RZK02.1-160-NN is a cabinet heat exchanger manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RZK Heat Exchangers series. It is intended to remove heat from power-dense automation enclosures by circulating coolant through an internally mounted core, thereby protecting drives, PLCs, and ancillary electronics from temperature-related faults. Integrating this standalone cooler into a wall panel lets system designers maintain stable cabinet conditions without enlarging the control room HVAC plant.

The exchanger delivers a cooling output of 4 kW and is certified to the IP20 protection class, so it is suited for installation inside a clean electrical room rather than on the shop floor. For mechanical integration the frame measures 480 mm in width, 365 mm in height, and 360 mm in depth, allowing it to fit between standard 19-inch rack uprights. Wall mounting is the prescribed method, with a minimum bottom clearance of 100 mm to keep the fan inlet unobstructed and a maximum wall spacing of 5 m when routing coolant hoses toward the cabinet. Two fan-power conductors are provided in the prewired harness, and service technicians can extend that lead up to a 5 m maximum cable length when locating the controller or terminal strip.

The unit belongs to a 160 kW power class of drive packages and, despite this high associated load, it weighs only 16 kg, so one person can hang it during commissioning. Coolant plumbing can be extended to a 5 m hose length without exceeding the factory pressure drop limits, and installers must keep a minimum top clearance of 200 mm to ensure free discharge of warmed air. The design is supplied without a built-in brake resistor, reflecting its sole purpose as a thermal management module rather than an energy-dissipating accessory.
