Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the RZK01.1-200-NN heat exchanger for control cabinets in the RZK Heat Exchangers series. This passive air-to-air device channels warm internal air across an external fin array, releases heat to the ambient environment, and returns cooled air to the enclosure. This arrangement removes heat without exposing cabinet electronics to direct ambient airflow, helping the unit support stable operation in automated production lines. By separating the internal and external air paths, it helps control heat buildup where enclosure ventilation is limited and dust must be kept away from drive components.
With a continuous cooling capacity of 5 kW, the exchanger can dissipate heat generated by moderate-power servo drives without pushing cabinet temperatures beyond normal operating limits. Its enclosure is rated IP20, so solid objects larger than 12.5 mm cannot reach energized parts, and it is intended for protected indoor areas rather than splash zones. The heat exchanger mounts in a perpendicular orientation, meaning the fin pack stands at right angles to the cabinet wall and supports unobstructed airflow through the core. Because the unit is intended for placement outside the cabinet, only coupling hoses and power leads enter the enclosure, which reduces the space needed inside the panel. A mass of 23 kg provides a stable installed position while remaining manageable with standard lifting aids during placement.
Installation requires a level mounting surface so the gasket can seat evenly and condensate does not collect along the housing edge. At least 200 mm of clearance must be left above the housing so warm exhaust air can escape without recirculating into the intake side, and this spacing helps keep airflow through the core consistent. This space also gives the discharge air room to disperse above nearby cabinet surfaces. The unit is supplied without a brake resistor, so any dynamic braking energy from connected drives must be handled by separate resistor assemblies or by the drives themselves.
