The CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules are modular, microprocessor-based motion controllers designed to coordinate servo-driven positioning through a combination of parameter setup and an onboard user program.
Across the series, the CLM manages multiple axes by issuing amplifier enable/brake control and processing position feedback from incremental or absolute encoders to maintain closed-loop control of position and speed. Operation is organized into distinct modes such as manual/jog, setup, automatic running, and parameter entry with status and fault information shown on an integrated keypad/display that can also be mounted remotely for operator access. The platform supports application-specific motion functions such as homing routines, travel-limit supervision, and programmable positioning including incremental or absolute moves, with units selectable by application, enabling repeatable machine sequences without relying on a separate PLC for core positioning tasks.
