8V1 ACOPOS Servo Drives

B&R’s 8V1 ACOPOS servo drives are a modular drive family that includes multiple power classes and model groups such as 8V1010/1016, 1022/1045/1090, 1180/1320, and 1640/128M.

The series is designed for high-speed motion control, with ACOPOS cycle performance described at 400 µs communication cycles and 50 µs in the control loop. Application flexibility comes from plug-in modules that add network and feedback interfaces, including CAN, POWERLINK V2, EnDat, HIPERFACE, resolver, incremental/SSI, and BiSS options, along with mixed I/O modules. The platform supports a wide range of motion functions such as point-to-point moves, electronic gearing, cam profiles, flying saw functions, and CNC, and it can be deployed in compact or large multi-axis network topologies. Within the 8V1 range, smaller units such as the 8V1016 class use a modular mechanical design with integrated line filter, integrated braking resistor, and an electronic restart inhibit, while also providing plug-in slots for application-specific configuration.
