Product Description:

B & R Automation 8V1090.001-2 8V1 ACOPOS Servo Drive is an advanced servo drive that is developed for applications in industrial automation systems. It has TT and TN network connections and can be easily integrated into various systems. The drive operates directly at the main input voltage of 3 x 400VAC ~10%, or 3 x 230VAC ~10%. It is applicable in many electrical systems. It operates at a frequency of 50/60 Hz ~4% and has a maximum installed load of 10kVA, thus, the circuit can support significant amounts of electrical loads and at the same time ensure smooth operation.

The 8V1 ACOPOS Servo Drive has an integrated line filter of EN 61800-3 C3 standards for optimized electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). This feature helps to control electrical interference or noise that can lead to instabilities, especially in automation industries. It also has an inrush current of 7A at 400VAC so that the drive turns on smoothly and a switch-on interval of more than 10s is installed for the system to function effectively. This drive has a low power dissipation rate of about 200 W at nominal power input.

The 8V1 ACOPOS Servo Drive has a DC bus capacitance of 470uF/ and an input capacitance of 8200uF for high power storage and efficient distribution. The power supply is 24 VDC with an operational range of ~ 25 %, and it draws up to 2.5 A current to hold the motor brake. The current carrying capacity of the servo drive is constant. It can work at a maximum current of 8.8 Aeff making it suitable for use in applications which require high motor operation capacity. This makes the B & R Automation 8V1 ACOPOS Servo Drive a powerful and efficient choice for industrial automation tasks.

ACOPOS error / fault What it means Corrective action
29207 – Movement type not allowed Axis is in a PLCopen state (e.g., StandStill) that blocks the requested command  Issue AxisStop, wait for StandStill, then re-issue the motion block; verify state machine logic in Automation Studio
29216 – Continuous movement not possible Drive aborted because the axis left a valid motion state  Inspect upstream faults, confirm Enable chain, re-trigger the move once READY
6021 – Enable signal unstable +24 V “Drive Enable” line drops below threshold or chatters  Tighten terminals X1/8-11, test 24 V supply under load; replace flakey relay or cable
29203 – Axis not ready to power-on STO inputs or other prerequisites not satisfied  Close CH 1 & 2 of STO relay, reset safety circuit, clear E-stop before re-energising
41075 – Continuous power > 95 % Load is riding near thermal limit; drive raises warning  Reduce mechanical load or duty cycle; derate ambient temp; consider fan kit or next-size drive
9075 – Load power > 100 % Over-load warning; power stage still active  Check for binding, inertia mismatch, aggressive accel ramps; monitor load trend
9076 – Load power > 115 % Over-load trip; PWM disabled to protect IGBTs  As above, plus verify motor sizing and cooling; allow 2–3 min for heat sink to cool before reset
6055 – Holding-brake signal too low Drive cannot energise motor brake reliably  Measure brake coil current; clean/replace relay contacts; lengthen brake-release delay
6052 – Power stage over-current Phase current exceeded device limit Inspect motor leads for shorts, scope dV/dt, re-tune current loop; if recurrent, fit dv/dt choke
6060 – Limit speed exceeded Electrical output freq > 598 Hz for > 0.5 s Lower speed command or pole-pair count, confirm feedback scaling, re-test

6048 Holding-brake movement monitor: position error too large – motor moved while brake was closed
6052 Power stage: high-side over-current – IGBT in one phase detected an over-current event
6060 Power stage: limit speed exceeded – electrical output frequency > 598 Hz for > 0.5 s
6055 Holding-brake low voltage – brake coil cannot be energised to nominal level
6044 Phasing error: rotational direction/position not valid – phasing routine detected invalid feedback alignment
7210 DC-bus charging: voltage unstable – bus fails to reach the required charge level on power-up
