Okuma MDU servo drives are multi-axis drive units intended for spindle and/or feed use.
The capacity portion of the code assigns kW ratings by axis position (for example, the 1st/2nd axis from the left on two-axis units, or sequential axis ratings on multi-axis units) so each motor channel is matched to the required power stage. A control-board designator in the type code identifies the board type and can indicate standard versus full-option sensor interface versions, including options for spindle and feed sensor interfaces and hydraulic sensor interface configurations. An additional option designator can specify an increased dynamic brake capacity variant when the application needs higher braking energy handling. Certain versions also include an identification related to maintenance-unit usage (such as A or H), distinguishing models built to use a maintenance unit from standard configurations.
